Mark your calendars for Tuesday, October 6. It’s time for National Night Out, and this year we’re hosting an ice cream social at Bailey Park with free Ben & Jerry’s for everyone.
Bring a lawn chair and the whole family. All ages are welcome, and it’s a great chance to catch up with the neighbors you know and meet the ones you haven’t met yet.

National Night Out started in 1984 as a way to build stronger connections between neighbors and promote safer communities. Today it’s celebrated in all 50 states. Most of the country marks the night in August, but Texas celebrates on the first Tuesday in October. The idea behind it still holds: neighbors who know each other look out for each other.
